A very well written article and one of which I wholeheartedly agree. I, too, along with you and your father take not like and take offense to the cavalier use of the earthly name of Jesus without the use of His titles. Even that passage in Philippians 2 that says, "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, ..." clearly expressed when the confession is made it will be, "Jesus Christ [is] Lord".<br />Of course I personally believe the reverence ought to be reflected in the way we dress and particularly on Sunday morning. Not especially a two or three piece suit, which is what I will wear, but at least not the same things you wear to play or work or lounge around in. Thanks for the article. I need to get you down/over/out here sometime to preach to us again. Sometimes I do forget ...Thank you for sharing this. Sometimes I do forget who I am talking to when I pray, and who I am talking about to others. It is "The Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father. And he shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end." AmenPhil Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02752045605704569789noreply@blogger.com
