Be aw...I'm glad the outline has proven helpful. Be aware also in your reading (such as R. Scott Clark) that WCF'ers who are advocating republication are not willing to do full justice to Owen's view. Owen's view was self-consciously outside of WCF. For example, Michael Brown, who has written an article in the Confessional Prebyterian about Owen's view of the Mosaic Covenant, claims his view was that of WCF: http://contrast2.wordpress.com/2010/03/31/iron-cant-sharpen-iron-without-honesty/

My only point being - make sure you read Owen yourself, rather than letting the scholars tell you what he said. He is substantially different from a number of covenant theologies on a number of points.

Also, be sure you check out A. W. Pink's "The Divine Covenants" as he has a similar view (republication), though I believe Pink improved upon Owen.
http://contrast2.wordpress.com/2010/01/27/pink-on-moses-republication/Brandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15693380017090778540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19532009.post-13293936071234713072010-05-27T22:57:38.800-05:002010-05-27T22:57:38.800-05:00The publisher is Free grace Press:
